4.05 Green Bay Ground Hogs - RB Chris Thompson

In the real world: Just when you thought Mike Shanahan finally settled on an every-down back (Alfred Morris), along comes Thompson, who averaged 7.5ypc last season at FSU. He tore his left ACL last October 20 and is still recovering from that; 2013 will probably be a "redshirt" year for him. Shanahan believes he would have been a first- or second-round pick if not for the ACL.
In the TUFF world: For the Ground Hogs, this is a pick for the future. They have Maurice Jones-Drew and LeSean McCoy (and their handcuffs) for now, and Ryan Mathews as well, so they can afford to save a roster spot for a long-term investment like Thompson.
